International Hat Day falls every November 25th. Today is a special day to wear your favorite hat or simply to learn more about its history. Hats have been worn as uniforms, fashion accessories, and protective gear for millennia. The first record of a human wearing a hat goes back to 3,000 BC and was found on a bronze-aged man nicknamed Otzi, whose body was discovered frozen in a mountain between Austria and Italy. However, experts believe hats existed long before that. For example, the 30,000-year-old Venus of Willendorf figurine is thought to depict a woman wearing a woven hat!
